William G. Crawford Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

William G. Crawford Jr, 78, of Muncy, died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born June 5, 1938 in Turbotville, he was a son of the late William Grant and the late Mary (Aunkst) Crawford. He married the former Jean Marie Fink, and together they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on December 28, 2016. William was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection. He enjoyed farming, John Deere tractors, raising animals, but above all he loved spending time with family. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Lori Ann (Chris) Girio of Muncy and Barbara Lynn (Tom) Spring of Quarryville; a son, Ronald W. Crawford of Hughesville; four sisters, Ruth Catherman of Milton, Inez Boyer of Dalmatia, Barbara Robbins of Watsontown, and Gloria McClintock of Watsontown; a brother, Robert Crawford of Turbotville; eight grandchildren, Derek Smith, Thomas Spring, Shawn Smith, Scott Smith, Megan Spring, Jennifer Mordan, Katie Mordan, and Rachel Spring; and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Y. Mordan; a granddaughter, Jessica M. Crawford; two brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, November 3 at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Rev. Glenn McCreary officiating.
