Sylvan “Butch” Houseknecht, 72, of Hughesville, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home. Born February 24, 1946 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Raymond A. and Helen M. (Bogart) Houseknecht. He married the former Nancy R. Healey, and together they celebrated 44 years of marriage. Butch enjoyed being outdoors in the sunshine, and spending time with grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Angela R. Bird and Jennifer R. Houseknecht; two sons, Kevin R. Houseknecht and James Jacopetti; a step-son, Tim Healey; and six grandchildren. At Sylvan’s request, there will be no services.
