Richard Eugene Gotshall

February 3, 1932 - November 17, 2021

Richard Eugene Gotshall, 89, of Montgomery passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Watsontown Health & Rehab Center. Born February 3, 1932, in Catawissa, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Pearl (Snyder) Gotshall. Alice E. Allen and Richard celebrated 59 years of marriage on December 2, 2020. Richard was a veteran who served his Country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing in NY for Salmon and traveling with his wife across the country. Later Richard retired from Sprout-Waldron of Muncy after many years of service. Surviving in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Phoebe A. (Donald) Zarr of Montgomery; a son, Galen P. Drabot of Aceworth, GA; a sister, Joan (June) Drumheller of Catawissa; three brothers, David (Linda) Gotshall of NY, Daniel Gotshall of Mount Joy, PA, and Paul (Fran) Gotshall of NJ; five grandchildren, Jennifer Saunders, Tina Ayers, Ashley Richards, Michael Zarr, Dustin Drabot; and six great grandchildren, Zachary Saunders, Kylee Saunders, Samuel Ayers, MaKayla Ayers, Emmaline Zarr and Adam Zarr. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his son, Denni L. Drabot; a granddaughter, Jessica Drabot; and two brothers, Thomas, and Larry Gotshall. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, November 22 at Richart's Grove Cemetery, of Unityville, with Pastor Doug W. Mellott officiating.
