June 30, 1961 - August 22, 2018
Pamella Ann Chilson-Sheets, 57, of Hughesville died Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at her home, with her wife, daughter, and family friend, after a long, hard fought battle with ovarian cancer. Born June 30, 1961 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Kathryn Eck Emerick and the late James M. Chilson. She and her wife, Shelly L. Sheets, celebrated four years of marriage on July 9, 2018, but shared over 30 years together as life partners. Pam was a graduate of Williamsport High School, Class of 1979 and graduated from California College of Health Science with a degree in respiratory therapy. She was employed with several area hospitals both local and in Oklahoma, Memphis and Greensboro, NC. She had to leave full time employment in 2016 from Select Specialty Hospital, Danville, due to her failing health. Pam had a heart of gold and loved helping people, making her leaving the work force a very difficult decision. Pam courageously battled cancer for more than 10 years and was affectionately known to many as the Warrior. Even through some of her most difficult struggles, she remained positive and shared that infectious smile with everyone. Pam loved her daughter Tessa so very much and dreamed all her possibilities come to life. She loved couponing, shopping, crafting, and traveling with Shelly and Tessa, as family was very important to her. Pam also loved her dogs, as they were always her family, especially Chloe who has been her constant companion. Surviving, in addition to her wife and mother, are a daughter, Tessa Grace Chilson-Sheets of Hughesville; a sister, Diana Chilson of Cogan Station; a brother, Jimmy (Lori) Chilson of Cogan Station; three step-sisters, Pam (Shaun) Kashner of South Williamsport, Sirina (Stan) Caputo of South Williamsport, and Marie (David) McGuber of Edmond, OK.; two step-brothers, John Chilson of South Williamsport and Matthew (Stacey) Emerick of Edmond, OK; and her step-mother, Rita Chilson of South Williamsport . In addition to her father, Pam was preceded in death by a younger sister, Denise McClelland The family will hold a Celebration of life from 1p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 2, at the Hughesville Fire Hall, 26 N. Railroad St., Hughesville. The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to the family for Tessa’s college dream fund or the Lycoming County S.P.C.A.
