Kathryn W. Broam, 82, of Hughesville, died Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Gatehouse. Born June 19, 1934 in Picture Rocks, she was a daughter of the late Clifton Roscoe and Edna May (Heath) Sheets. She married the late William L. Broam, who preceded her in death on February 15, 2003. Kathryn enjoyed flowers, reading, and spending time with family. She is survived by a daughter, Susan S. Broam of Hughesville; a son, David L. (Janet L.) Broam of Hughesville; and two sisters, Shirley Laidacker of Picture Rocks and Beverly Bitler of Muncy. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 11 at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Rev. Max L. Walters Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
