June M. Temple, 92, of Muncy, died Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at UPMC Muncy Place. Born January 9, 1928 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Kathryn (Miller) Oliver. She and her husband, Leo J. Temple, celebrated 72 years of marriage on July 3, 2020. June was a loving wife and mother who affectionately referred to Leo as “LJ” and he would respond to June as “Duffer”. June was employed at the Silk Mill in Hughesville throughout her high school years and following graduation, she was employed at the former Montgomery Mill’s. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Steven O. (Joanne) Temple of Hughesville; two step-sons, Jim (Stacey) Wertman of Philadelphia, and Scott (Michelle) Wertman of ME; a sister, Ruth Pardoe of DE; a granddaughter, Christine "Cricket" R. Koernig of Elmira, NY; two step-great-grandchildren; a niece, Beth (Shaun) Searfoss of DE; and a nephew, Tim (Robin) Pardoe of Williamsport. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by a nephew, Mark Pardoe. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
