June M. Green, 100, of Hughesville, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Wolf Run Village. Born September 5, 1921, in Turbotville, she is the daughter of the late Howard and Dora (Arthur) Confer. June married Charles B. Green on May 25, 1942 and shared 68 years of marriage. June enjoyed cooking, traveling, flowers, swimming in her pool and taking care of her family. She is survived by three sons, James Green of Hughesville, Ronald (Gloria) Green of Muncy, Eugene R. Green of Aubrey TX; two brothers, George Confer of Williamsport, Richard Confer of Warrensville; three sisters, Carol Confer of Houston, TX, Joyce Campbell of Cogan Station, Nancy Bloom of Williamsport, nine grandchild, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Green on August 3, 2010, daughter, Phyllis J. Rhodes; two sisters, Lois Ball, Faye Bassett, and two brothers, Lynn, and Donald Confer. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 11, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with June's Pastor Doug W. Mellot officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11 AM on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
