Jeremiah Abe Burgett

January 26, 1989 - June 9, 2019

Jeremiah Abe Burgett, 30, of Muncy, went to the arms of the Lord on Sunday evening, June 9, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Williamsport on Thursday, January 26, 1989 and was the son of George D. and Michele L. Sones Burgett of Muncy. Jeremiah was a member of Moreland Community Church of Muncy and a 2007 graduate of Hughesville High School. Jeremiah enjoyed the outdoors and hunting with his family. He loved NASCAR, the New York Yankees, and shooting trap with his father and brother. He also was involved in the Superstars drum class at the YMCA and competed at the Verizon Sports Jamboree at Fort Indiantown Gap. As part of the Challenger Baseball Team, he had the opportunity to play in the Little League World Series Challenger Game. He is survived by his parents, George and Michele Burgett, a brother, Matt T. Burgett of Muncy, an honorary sister, Katurah L. Klein of Lewistown, a paternal grandfather, Leon J. Burgett of Muncy, a maternal grandmother, Barbara A. (Myers) Sones of Muncy, and by a maternal great grandmother, Laura M. (Harman) Myers of Muncy. He is predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Laura H. (Shetler) Burgett and by his maternal grandfather, Harold “Punk” F. Sones. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, June 14, at Moreland Community Church located at 1300 Church Dr. Muncy with Lay Pastor Greg Houseknecht officiating. Burial will follow at the Moreland Lutheran Cemetery, Muncy. Friends may call from 10 - Noon on Friday at the church.
