Alice Mae Steinruck, 72, of Unityville, died Monday, December 23, 2019 at her home. Born June 13, 1947 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Edson S. and Edna Mae (Sones) Worthington. She and her husband, Ray T. Steinruck, celebrated five years of marriage on October 2, 2019. Alice was a graduate of Hughesville High Scholl, Class of 1965, and managed the former Spartan Sub Shop, Hughesville, for many years. She attended Richarts Grove Church, Unityville, and enjoyed decorating, antiques, listening to live Bluegrass and Gospel Music, going to flea markets, and above all, spending time with her family. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Craig E. (Jane) Johnson of Unityville, Bradley W. Johnson of Unityville, and Brian T. (Tonya) Confer of Unityville; a sister, Janet D. (Ray) Yerg of Muncy; four grandchildren, Courtney R. Johnson-Shoemaker, Blaine M. Johnson, Aaden T. Confer, and Alex M. Confer; and a great-granddaughter, Aubrey A. Shoemaker. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph T. Confer. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
